Hey big boy, want to see my Iron Man?
CF.Objective() starts in a few weeks on May 1. Coincidentally Iron Man is being released the following day. If you would be interested in seeing the movie with some of your favorite (or maybe not so favorite) ColdFusion geeks, leave a comment here, and be sure to subscribe. I will post details of when and where we will be going to see the movie.

Here's a link to the online ticketing website:
<a href="http://www.movietickets.com/house_detail.asp?exid=...;
According to the AMC Theater information at the link above, the times are:
Friday: 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:05pm, 7:00pm, 10:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:05pm, 7:00pm, 10:00pm
The only problem is that coming back by bus there is a small window. The last bus leaves Mall of America at 12:38 AM, rouhgly about a half hour after the movie ends. I think its worth the risk as the bus will be about $3.00 round trip, a taxi, probably mch more.
So, we will be going to the 10:00 PM showing of Iron Man on May 2, 2008 at the AMC in Mall of America. I am thinking I might go teh teh mall early and have dinner (there's like a gabillion restaurants there).
It is strongly suggested that you by tickets before hand, here is a link to do just that, https://www.movietickets.com/purchase.asp?perf_id=...
ScottS - can you buy tickets _now_, or is it too early? If not, any idea when?
Am I the only person who doesn't think I should have to create an account and provide my gender and date of birth to buy a $10 ticket online?!
BTW Peter, they need your birth date to determine if you are old enough to see PG13 or R rated features, and they need your Gender to warn you in case you accidentally purchase tickets to a "chick flick"
Seriously, though, if I buy 3 tickets for an R rated movie, that doesn't say anything about the age of the other two people. I get why marketers want demographics and dates of birth (they're great for "birthday specials"). I ran an ad agency for over five years so I get the fascination, but requiring demographic info just to complete a one time transaction is a usability no-no - at least to me.
The age of the other two people doesn't matter. As long as there is a responsible adult present. Responsible = "Has Credit Card" ;)
I suspect it is more for liability than demographics. We are a litigious society. Usability takes a back seat to "Cover-Your-A**".
@Rich Sloan : Do you still have room for one ?
Please, shoot me an email if you do.
thanks
The 54 bus line goes to Mall of America. There's a stop a couple of blocks north of the hotel at 6th & Cedar.
